Shipping policy

We’re all about delivering premium, locally sourced meat straight to your door – fresh, chilled, and on time. Here’s how our shipping process works:

1. Delivery Area

We currently deliver to addresses within the North Island of New Zealand only. If you're outside this area, feel free to get in touch to see what options might be available.

2. Dispatch Schedule

We ship orders once a week, every Wednesday.

To make the Wednesday dispatch, your order must be placed before 3pm on Saturday. Orders received after this cut-off will be shipped the following Wednesday.

3. Minimum Spend for Delivery

$50 minimum spend applies to all delivery orders.

No minimum spend for Click & Collect – order as little or as much as you like and pick it up in-store!

4. Shipping Rates

Our flat-rate shipping tiers are simple and designed to encourage you to stock up:

Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout based on your cart total.

5. Chilled & Safe Packaging

Your order is carefully packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep it chilled during transit. We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery, as we cannot be held responsible for products left unattended.

6. Rural Deliveries

If you're in a rural area, delivery may take an extra day. We’ll do our best to ensure your order still arrives in excellent condition, but we advise checking if overnight delivery is possible to your address.

7. Missed Deliveries

If there’s no one available to receive your delivery, the courier may leave it in a safe place or return it to the depot. Please provide clear delivery instructions at checkout to avoid delays or spoilage.

8. Delivery Delays

While we work with reliable courier services, delays can occasionally happen due to weather, road closures, or high demand. If your delivery is delayed and you’re concerned about the state of your order, contact us straight away at butchery@meatmatas.co.nz.
